The Lotus Eater
Sometimes I dream about careless life of a Lotus Eater
somewhere on the Pacific islands, life without traffics, hurry, life in jungles,
but not that of cement and stone… Well, somebody is already living that kind of
life. I think this small frog is just an example.
The piece is a snap-shot from the Soviet cartoon “Frog
the Traveler” and was realized for Irina. By the way, the pattern is very
simple (only 10 colors and a few back-stitches), so even beginners can cope
with it. So, nice cross-stitching and take it easy!

Baby Phoenix
“I’ve got a baby Phoenix as
a present for my b-day. He’s so cute! I like it very much and would
like to cross-stitch his portrait. I’d like it to be up to 100 stitches, full
cross-stitches only, and up to 15 colors, if possible. Here is the link Squishable Phoenix…” This letter I received a few
days ago from Sandra. And as she asked I’ve prepared a small and easy to
cross-stitch pattern with no back and broken stitches. Hope you like it!

Prince Wednesday
For today I’ve prepared one more free cross-stitch pattern
based on celebrated cartoon Daniel
Tiger's Neighborhood. It’s Prince
Wednesday, the best friend of Daniel Tiger and the best magician of the
neighborhood))).
To
realize Prince Wednesday’s sweater I’ve used technique of blending colors. Don’t
be afraid of the term, as there is nothing much complicated behind it. You can find a small tutorial about blended colors here.

Let’s play together!
Who can cope with the task of inventing new games
better than Miss Elaina from Daniel
Tiger's Neighborhood? And today I’d like to invite you to have a nice time cross-stitching this cute
and lovely girl in a pink-colored sweater.
Why I mentioned a pink-colored sweater? Well, because it requires some experience to be realized as I’ve used here blended colors. What’s that? It’s a special technique that allows you to gain more subtle shades of a certain color or create some effects like knitted fabric or animal fur. More info about blended colors you can find here.

your favorite pastime!

O the Owl
O the Owl
is a very curious blue colored owl who is always looking for new things or
reading books. He is one of main characters of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood
and one of Daniel's close friends.
The pattern O the Owl is
aimed at cross-stitchers with some
experience as there are blended colors
used. Well, if you don’t know what that means, here is a small HOW TO lesson.
