How do I stitch those tiny snowflakes?

I’ve received a few letters recently where you, my dear cross-stitchers asked how I stitch those small 3x3 snowflakes. So, I’ve prepared a small “How to” lesson.
To begin with, let’s choose a 3x3 square, to “place” our future snowflake. Then, let’s “fill” the corners of the square with 4 cross-stitches.

Two-colored snowflakes

Free cross-stitch patternsChristmas is not arriving yet, but I noticed that the Inimitable snowflakes pattern I published nearly a year ago has already become the most viewed one. That is why I’ve decided to prepare a new cross-stitch pattern with snowflakes; this time two-colored and more simple so that even embroiderers with just a bit of experience are able to realize them.

Inimitable Snowflakes

Free cross-stitch patternsChristmas… How much warmth is embedded in this word: fireplace, family gathered round the table, reverential mood, a great number of gifts prepared with love under the Christmas tree and … huge piles of snow outdoors))))).
And only imagine that this beautiful white blanket covering everything around consists of tiny “particles” - inimitable snowflakes. Why inimitable? Because there are no “clone” snowflakes, all of them are different, like those on the pattern below.
